This summer, the HomeLife Galaxy Real Estate brokerage gave back to Covenant House Toronto. At a local park, they came together for a fun fair filled with games to raise money for youth experiencing homelessness. This fundraising event featured raffle games and food for everyone to enjoy, while raising money for a good cause. In the end, over $781 was raised for Covenant House.

Every year, TRREB Member and Broker of Record Chris Dunlop and his fellow REALTORS® donate and fundraise in support of the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation. This is Canada’s largest public foundation dedicated to funding women’s shelters and violence prevention programs. Every dollar raised helps 50,000 women and children who are served each year by the shelters and support programs. This year, Chris and his brokerage raised $21,510 in one night. That’s not all he got up to. Chris heard about the potential closure of the Cabbagetown Youth Centre, which ensures young people have access to recreational activities, after-school programs and summer camps. Chris made a personal donation of $30,000 for necessary renovations that will support the Cabbagetown Youth Centre for the next three years.

TRREB Member Marina Ostromich gives back to the B’nai Brith, Canada’s oldest independent Jewish Human Rights organization. Marina is a strong supporter of the food and clothing drives at the B’nai Brith. She delivers canned goods boxes and much-needed clothing, like sweaters, hats and scarves for people in need. She is also heavily involved in the program for seniors, where many of the seniors participating are Holocaust survivors, widows and widowers, who attend the centre to cultivate lasting friendships and maintain ties to their community.
