Attendees had the opportunity to learn from industry experts delivering thought-provoking discussions on leadership, innovation, and resilience, hear from inspiring global keynote speakers and connect with over 200 exhibitors, and thousands of industry professionals.
The Value of MLS®
Buying or selling a home is a major life decision and having guidance from a trusted REALTOR® gives clients peace of mind. TRREB REALTORS® have access to the MLS® System, which enables them to help buyers and tenants find the perfect home, provide sellers and landlords with increased exposure and assist business clients in meeting their needs. Having a knowledgeable professional like a REALTOR® ensures that clients make informed decisions.
Building Stronger Communities
Empowering Futures
TRREB has been supported students pursuing post-secondary education through the Past President’s Scholarship since 2007. Over the last 19 years, 81 students have received a total of $286,500, helping them take one step further toward their goals. This year we welcomed eight new recipients to this prestigious list, with career goals that could impact the real estate industry in the future.

Giving Back
TRREB REALTORS® play a vital role in the communities they serve. Each year, the Ontario REALTORS Care® Foundation (ORCF) raises funds to support shelter-based organizations. Through their support of shelters, food banks, and breakfast programs, they positively impact those most vulnerable. Since 2008, TRREB has donated over $10 million and this year we’re donating more than $800,000 through the annual Every REALTOR® Campaign with an additional $7,000 raised during the TRREB REALTOR® QUEST reception.
Creating a Brighter Tomorrow
Supporting Habitat for Humanity GTA Build Days is one of the many ways our REALTORS® make affordable homeownership a reality. Our Members joined Habitat for Humanity for the annual Build Day on October 29. Since 2014, more than 140 TRREB Members have participated in 20 build days, totalling over 1,000 volunteer hours. More than $1.3 million has also been donated by TRREB on behalf of Members to Habitat GTA since 2004.

Building Community
TRREB is proud to continue supporting community-sponsored events across the GTA, reinforcing our commitment to giving back and building stronger communities. This year we sponsored the Canada Day event in Richmond Hill, the Canadian Food Truck Festival in Brampton and the Distillery Winter Village in downtown Toronto. By partnering with local communities we highlight the important role REALTORS® play beyond real estate- supporting vibrant, inclusive, and thriving neighborhoods.

Advocating for Change
Through research, policy recommendations, and collaboration with decision-makers and other industry stakeholders, TRREB champions solutions that address housing affordability, supply, taxation, sustainability and fair business regulations. This year, we successfully pushed for the reduction of onerous government charges and taxes on homes, As-of-Right Zoning to boost multiplex housing, innovative housing solutions including prefab homes and multi-unit residential buildings (MURB) tax incentives, and fair real estate business regulations, including the Trust in Real Estate Services Act (TRESA). TRREB is also spearheading a Housing Coalition with industry partners in renewed effort to reignite momentum in housing development. By advocating for fair and forward-thinking policies, TRREB works to strengthen the real estate profession while helping to build vibrant, inclusive, and accessible communities across the GTA.

This year we hosted the Council of Mulitiple Listings Service Annual Conference and International MLS Forum where TRREB showcased its leadership, strength, and innovation. Fair Taxes on Ontario Homes
In response to the ongoing housing affordability challenges, TRREB launched a new campaign ‘Fair Taxes on Ontario Homes’ pushing for lower taxes, fees and charges to help bring homeownership back within reach for Ontarians. We called on all levels of government to take three immediate actions to unlock housing supply and lower cost for homebuyers – cut development charges, reform the land transfer tax, and review municipal taxation.
Breaking the Backlog
TRREB also continues to work with the provincial government to reform processes at the Landlord and Tenant Board (LTB). The Breaking the Backlog report outlines 10 TRREB recommendations to enhance the efficiency and accessibility of the LTB. TRREB has been a long-time champion of reform at the LTB to create a stronger rental housing market for landlords and tenants.
