In a joint effort between TRREB’s Central Government Relations Working Group and Commercial Committee, we recently engaged with representatives from the City of Toronto’s Neighbourhood Retail and Services team on the City’s proposed by-law, focused on enabling access to retail and service spaces in Toronto neighbourhoods.

TRREB is championing initiatives that create more opportunities for REALTORS® to support their clients and grow their businesses. Expanding retail options in neighbourhoods can enhance commercial prospects across the City, and strengthen community livability, making Toronto more vibrant, connected, and desirable as a place to live and work.

The collaboration presents an opportunity for TRREB to share feedback and concerns to ensure the by-law supports thriving, complete communities while balancing the needs of property owners, businesses, and residents. We thank City staff for their engagement and look forward to continued dialogue.
