At TRREB, we believe in the power of education and the importance of supporting the next generation. Our Past President’s Scholarship awards reflect this commitment, providing talented secondary school students with the financial assistance they need as they pursue higher education.

Since 2007, 87 students have received a total of $305,500 in TRREB scholarships to help them take meaningful steps toward their goals.

This year, we are proud to welcome six new recipients. Each student was selected based on a compelling essay exploring issues shaping the real estate industry today. From architecture and health sciences to business and real estate law, they represent a wide range of interests and ambitions.

The first-place winners, Raihan Mansuri and Aurora Wesley, each received $5,000.

Raihan is pursuing a Life Sciences degree at McMaster University with the goal of becoming a physician focused on community and preventive medicine. Through innovation, research, and service, he hopes to advance community well-being and make a lasting impact.

Aurora is studying Management and Organizational Studies at Western University. She plans to use her business and finance experience with a future career in real estate law to help improve transaction efficiency and promote greater transparency for homebuyers.

The second-place winners, Mikayla Cuell and Charlotte Grace, received $2,500 each.

Mikayla is pursuing Architectural Engineering at the University of Waterloo, with a focus on sustainable design and the rehabilitation of historic structures. She is dedicated to encouraging more girls to pursue STEM through beginner-friendly workshops and gender equity initiatives.

Charlotte is attending the University of Waterloo for her Honours Health Sciences Co-Op degree. She is passionate about giving back to her community and finding balance through artistic pursuits.

Our third-place winners, Aliya Ramadhin and Lorne Botushanski, received $2,000 each.

Aliya enrolled in the Management Co-Op Program at the University of Toronto and is exploring career opportunities in finance and real estate development. She is passionate about working with children and giving back to her community.

Lorne is attending Queen’s University this fall to pursue a Bachelor of Health Sciences. Driven by a longstanding interest in human health, medicine, and problem-solving, he is eager to explore opportunities for innovation in health research and healthcare.
