Vaughan Back-Water Valve Subsidy Installation Program

The Back-Water Valve Subsidy Installation Program assists homeowners with the cost of installing a back-water valve. The available subsidy is 50 per cent of the invoiced cost of installing an approved back-water valve, up to a maximum of $750.

The City provides subsidies on a first-come, first-served basis while funding is available.

Why Install a Back-Water Valve?

The sanitary back-water valve helps protect basements from flooding when severe weather causes sewers to overflow. Installing a back-water valve can significantly reduce the risk of basement flooding and prevent home damage.
