TRREB Member Yan Zhou was awarded the 2022 Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Award for making a significant impact in the Markham and Unionville community. He founded a non-profit organization, Active Community Engagement (ACE) Ontario that provides a pathway for youth who are passionate about taking their first step in a political career. Yan’s efforts with ACE also include donating and distributing winter clothing to vulnerable individuals in downtown Toronto.

After Toronto REALTOR® Ara Mamourian heard kids at a local public school didn’t have access to a laptop or computer to participate in online learning during the onset of the pandemic, he started an initiative to close this gap. He headed online to buy, then donate laptops to those who needed them. Then, Ara wanted to make an even greater impact and turned to Instagram and started a fundraiser. He raised $31,000 in just 24 hours. Since 2020, Ara has delivered 120 laptops and raised enough to buy 310 more.

Every December, TRREB Member Adam Weiner donates to the Hospital for Sick Children in the name of all his clients. Instead of a holiday card, Adam’s clients get a thank you from the Hospital for Sick Children on behalf of his donation. Adam also gives back to schools across Midtown and Uptown Toronto. He is proud to support school fundraising drives, so students can get more access to books, technology, and a better playground.
